Capeloto discusses her social and religious life in Seattle's Sephardic Jewish community. She describes rabbis and community leaders, discrimination against the Sephardim, and some of the friction between Seattle's two Sephardic congregations. Capeloto voices her disapproval of this continued division. She also shares insights into women's changing roles in the Sephardic community and talks about community leaders Dora Cohen, Rose Alhadeff, and Lea Mossafer. Lastly, Capeloto reflects on young people's renewed interest in Ezra Bessaroth and Sephardic culture.
